My follicles are matured
I am still in awe and in the acceptance stage that I actually made the decision to freeze my eggs/oocytes. This decision was hard, however given my age this is the right thing to do. It took me forever to grasps how much the straight forward procedure to freeze my eggs cost ~$16k total.
Here’s a breakdown.
~$9,300 surgery, monitoring, anesthesia etc
$1,675 for 5 year egg freezing
~$3,900 meds, Menopur, Lupeon, Gonal, Estrogen and more
~$250 consult, $165 LA work, $450 early diagnosis plan.
The last two weeks, I was getting blood drawn every 3xs per week and probed to ensure my follicles are growing. Overall, I am glad I did it and I am ✅ with it
