Census Job Fair
My supervisor told me about the former census worker’s job fair. I thought that it sounded great so I went… too bad I went to the 1st event held where over 900 out of the 1200 hired employees were present looking for jobs. Another downside was that I went to the Van Nuys event, because I figured it would cover companies from all over Los Angeles but it was for local companies in the valley area. I did get a call back but it’s just such a far drive so idk. Overall, a great event although it was small. Bonus points for how organized the event was & that each former employee got a recyclable tote bag. I am looking forward to going to the Pasadena/San Gabriel area event since it’s much closer to El Monte area.
